We are looking for an In-House Attorney for an industry leader within the manufacturing industry, located in Madison, WI.
About the Role
Conduct thorough legal research and prepare comprehensive legal documents.
Litigate cases in court, advocating for clients' rights and interests.
Negotiate settlements and agreements with opposing parties.
Draft and review contracts, pleadings, and other legal documents.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations affecting clients.
Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
Review trial records, identify legal errors, and argue how these errors affected the outcome of the case.
Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
Minimum 5 Years litigation or appellate experience at both the State and Federal level.
Proven experience in working within civil courts and criminal court systems.
Must be admitted to the appellate courts.
Admitted to the WI federal courts
Membership in good standing with the WI State Bar.
Ability to draft, create, and prepare motions and trial materials.
Proficiency in corresponding with the judiciary and other law firms via all forms of communication.
Ability to prepare clients for all related appearances.
Strong proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
Excellent writing skills with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
Proven ability to negotiate effectively and advocate for clients' interests.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
