About our Client

We are looking for a IT Manager for an industry leader within the health care industry, located in Stamford, CT.

About the Role

  • Oversee the maintenance and support of the company's hardware, software, and network systems.

  • Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of all IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud services, etc.).

  • Manage and troubleshoot IT systems, ensuring minimal downtime and resolving system issues swiftly.

  • Implement and manage security policies to protect company data and IT systems from internal and external threats.

  • Perform regular security audits and update systems to protect against vulnerabilities.

  • Monitor systems for any security breaches, manage firewalls, anti-virus software, and other cybersecurity tools.

  • Lead IT projects, including software upgrades, system installations, and infrastructure development.

  • Develop project timelines, manage budgets, and ensure resources are allocated efficiently.

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with company objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with service agreements and optimal value for the company.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop IT strategies that align with the organization’s objectives and growth plans.

  • Provide advice on new technologies and trends that can enhance business operations and improve performance.

  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures.

  • Generate regular reports on IT expenses as well as incident reports for upper management.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related field

  • 3+ years IT Systems experience required

  • 2+ years working knowledge of MS Server Operating Systems required

  • Proficient in managing IT infrastructure (servers, cloud services, networking equipment)

  • Must have experience with Office 365

  • Required to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as needed

  • Leadership, problem-solving and decision-making ability.

  • Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and project management.

  • Programming experience in SQL server a plus

  • Knowledge of HIPAA server regs. and IT compliance preferred.
