We are looking for a Microbiology Medical Technologist for a health care company, located in DC.
About the Role
Performs various laboratory diagnostic tests on patient specimens.
Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of the operation and principles of departmental instrumentation.
Accurately interprets and reports laboratory test results.
Communicates effectively with physicians, nursing staff, co-workers and other organizational staff.
Observes and follows established departmental environment of care and safety protocols and practices.
Attends departmental, organizational and continuing education meetings.
Requirements
Self-motivated with a desire to learn
Excel in fast-paced environments
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Must have the ability to exercise judgment in applying practices, procedures, and techniques to resolve clearly defined work-related issues.
Current Clinical Laboratory Scientist license
